Greetings, Blues Enthusiasts!

We're thrilled to bring you the June edition of the Blues Insider! We've been busy behind the scenes, laying the groundwork for some fantastic blues experiences coming your way. Get ready for exciting news as the Greeley Blues Jam kicks off this month (our ticket giveaway has concluded – congratulations to the winners), details about the upcoming Mile High Blues events, and the continued development of our Blues Youth on Stage (BYOS) Program. It's going to be a great month and year for the blues in the Mile High City!

We are continuing preparations for this year's Blues Challenge! Booking Venues and preparing promotional materials are well underway. We are very excited for this year’s events.

We are also working hard on our Blues Youth on Stage (BYOS) Program. During MHBS events, we will be inviting young players to get on stage and have the opportunity to perform with professional players or to bring a youth band to perform on their own.

Share Your Passion: Volunteer Newsletter Editor Needed!

The Mile High Blues Society is looking for a passionate and dedicated volunteer to take on the role of Newsletter Editor for "The Blues Insider"! This is a fantastic opportunity to get more involved with your blues society, helping us compile and share our monthly news, events, and stories with our vibrant community.

If you have a love for the blues, good communication skills, basic computer literacy, and can dedicate a few hours each month to help keep our members informed and connected, we'd love to hear from you! This is a vital role in our organization, and your contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Greeley Blues Jam – Happening This Month!

Get ready for some fantastic blues at the Greeley Blues Jam on June 6th and 7th! Our Mile High Blues Society ticket giveaway drawing was held on Saturday, May 10th. Congratulations to our lucky winner! We hope you enjoy the incredible lineup and atmosphere.

Mile High Blues 2025

Get ready for a weekend of incredible live music, dancing, and community at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel from June 20-22, 2025! This year, we’re celebrating the rich legacy of the Blues with:

Live Music: Maynard Mills Blues with John Long on Friday night; Nick Clark as our house band on Saturday & Sunday night.

Workshops & Sessions: Dance classes and musician-led discussions honoring our local Blues lineage.

Community: A welcoming space for dancers and Blues lovers alike.

Plus, don’t miss the Juneteenth pre-party at Shimmy Shakin’ Blues on June 19!
