Announcing the MHBS “Road to Memphis”
BAND CHALLENGE!
Once again for 2025, we will be holding our Road to Memphis Blues Challenge.
Our Blues Challenge is scheduled for Friday October 17th, 2025, at the Rusty Bucket at 7pm.
During this one event we will determine the winners in all three categories, Band, Solo/Duo and Youth.
The winners get the opportunity to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN in January of 2026.
We will only be accepting the first four competitors in each category. Registration is open now!

Tickets will be available at the door. Members $10.00 and Non-members $15.00.
The winner in each category has the opportunity to go to Memphis Tennessee to compete in the Blues Foundations International Blues Challenge, where you will compete with the best blues performers from around the world!
You must be a member of MHBS and there is an entry fee. A member may compete only one category. The entrance fee must be paid for each category you compete in. The entrance fee is $25.00.
There are three categories: Bands, Solo/Duos and Youth Bands:
Bands are considered 3 or more individuals.
Solo or Duo competitors (self-explanatory)
For the Youth Band category this year you may either compete to go to Memphis, or you can just play a showcase during the event. If you choose to do a showcase you do not need to pay the entry fee. Youth bands are made up of individuals up to 20 years old. If you are going to compete in Memphis you are not eligible if you turn 21 before the end of the IBC January 12, 2025.

The MHBS will assist with travel costs associated with traveling to Memphis. If the winner chooses not to go to Memphis the runner up will be given that opportunity.
